ProclamationJoyful Soles Dance Company
Our dance company “Proclamation” is a creative collective of artists—dancers, choreographers, and designers—dedicated to the craft of performance and the power of movement. Unlike a standard dance class, a company operates as a unified team that works toward a shared artistic vision, producing professional-grade productions, competing on a national stage, or touring original repertoire.
Who Can Be a Part of Proclamation?
The dance company is for our dancers who are ages 14+ taking a minimum of 3.5 hours of ballet at Level 2 or higher and plus one or more other dance styles.
Auditions
If you would like to apply to Proclamation, please complete and submit our application packet. Our packet includes forms for dance recommendations from three instructors, and two character recommendations from piers. Those selected will receive an invitation to audition.
At auditions, present a two minute self created dance. There will also be a personal interview with our production team.
Expectations
Company dancers commit to upholding our company ideals and to attend scheduled company rehearsals on Wednesday evenings. They also pay an additional company production fee of $200 to cover company dance instruction and costumes.
